If you want to help make a difference and help bring food and conversation to your community, then why not become a FoodCycle volunteer?
Week in, week out, our team of incredible volunteers make wholesome meals from food that would have otherwise gone to waste. It is then shared with the community in a safe, welcoming space, where everyone is welcome, no questions asked. As we return to our much loved Community Meals we need lots of friendly, reliable, volunteers to join the FoodCycle family. Volunteer roles include cooking, collecting or hosting. You can also support our new ‘Check in and Chat’ service by signing up to make weekly phones calls and having a natter with our guests.
Whilst wearing a face covering and social distancing is not mandatory, please take note of our safety reminders below:
Join our volunteering team or become a Project Leader. We can’t wait to have you on board!
FoodCycle prides itself on being a diverse organisation and welcomes volunteers and guests from all backgrounds and walks of life – visit our equal opportunities page to find out more about volunteering with a disability. Please visit this page - https://www.foodcycle.org.uk/who-we-are/locations/ - to find a FoodCycle Project in your area. We currently have 45 different locations across England and Wales and we are looking to expand into more communities this year.

Our Project Leaders are passionate, committed and want to make a positive change within their community. Why not take on a lead volunteer role and help feed people in your community.
In addition to volunteers, we are seeking DONATIONS to help us provide vulnerable and lonely people with tasty, nutritious food and good conversation. You can make a donation here: https://www.foodcycle.org.uk/get-involved/donate/
We also need people to help with FUNDRAISING - more details here: https://www.foodcycle.org.uk/get-involved/fundraise-for-foodcycle/
And of course, we rely on generous food donations from supermarkets, small independent grocery shops, and markets. We can accept fresh produce (e.g. fruit, vegetables and bread) and dried goods (e.g. pasta, lentils and spices). We can only accept left over food from supermarkets. If you’re an individual looking to donate food, contact our friends at Plan Zheroes, Trussell Trust or Olio.
