Join Watersafe UK Search & Rescue Team
To become an operational team member, you will need to be over 18yrs and be reasonably physically fit. You must able to attend at least 50% of team training and fundraising events per year, this equates to a minimum of fourteen days. Once qualified you will be required to attend emergency and rescue callouts when you are available. The comprehensive training process can take over 12 months during which time you will be trained and assessed in a variety of competences, during this process you will be able to assist on some call outs and be a valued member of the support team.

About The Team
As any voluntary rescue team, people come and go over time and currently WUKSART has 32 operational team members. We also have 4 new trainees waiting to commence with their initial training. All of our team members are from disciplined backgrounds, which ensures that they are all experienced as working as team members or team leaders in a variety of situations. Team skills cover the following:
Primarily WUKSART will cover the County of Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire whilst we support both the local Fire & Rescue Service and the Police. We are on standby for National deployment for flood response around the United Kingdom.
